Back Home from North Louisiana

Visited with the in-laws. Met the newest addition to the family. Ate an utterly delicious home-cooked Christmas dinner. Great fun! And on the way home, stopped at the Duck Commander store and had my picture made in front of the famous sign. Got a Phil T-Shirt.

It was a quick trip -- up on Tuesday, Christmas dinner on Wednesday, back home today. Taking it easy for another day or two before jumping back into everything.

I'm a retired old broad, a Boomer, born and raised in the South -- a preacher's kid and youngest child. I am a Christian, a cultural/political conservative, and a supporter of my Southern and Confederate heritage.

Although I support women's rights (because I support human rights and women are, after all, humans) I am adamantly opposed to feminism, because I believe it has nothing to do with equality and rights, and everything to do with hating men, get-evenism, and hostility to the natural family. And although I don't support every rightwing belief and cause, I am firmly opposed to leftism, which I believe is socialism, one of the most destructive ideologies ever to spring from the mind of man.

I have written four novels and two short stories that I self-published, and I author six blogs, although none are updated regularly. This one, 180 Degrees True South, is named for a pro-Southern, secessionist e-zine I published when I first entered cyberspace via the Internet. 180DTS was published roughly each month from 2000 to 2004.

I was a dog person all my life until about 18 years ago, when my husband turned me into a crazy cat lady. This is my felis catus, Flipper. Isn't he handsome?
